Corruption basically can happen anytime and anywhere, touching all people in the community. But with reference to the case of GaiusTambunan, corruption is highly detrimental to this often occurs in the upper class, elite, and the officials who have power and strategic position.
Corruption came not without cause. Corruption is the result of asituation in which conditions a person needs more income, or feelless of what he got when doing business with legitimate ways.Corruption is an act that can not be separated from the influence of power and authority possessed by individuals and groups, andimplemented both as an individual crime (professional) as well as aform of corporate crime (done premises cooperation between thevarious parties who want to benefit so as to form an organizationalstructure that protect each other and cover the ugliness of each).Corruption is a reflection of the crisis, policy and representation oflow accountability of public bureaucracy.
Corruption can also occur due to lack of awareness to abide bythe principle of "maintaining the distance". When inside the social fabric of Indonesian society that highly menjujung large familyconcept becomes a factor of individuals to be in a difficult situationin economic shortfalls, the influences of family and relatives canlead to the emergence of attitudes to commit fraud and violations of the law. Individuals who engage in corruption failed in sortingbetween the private interests with public interests. Corruptionoccurs because of loss of sense of responsibility and shame onthe perpetrators themselves.
Corruption is not just came to me in mind of a perpetrator. Heunderstood seabagai melanggara legal action and obtainedthrough the learning process.
